Every Moment Counts

Any journey that opens your eyes and touches your heart is one that is worth taking.

Feeding Empty Little Tummies is a unique program designed to help end child hunger in our local community. It was founded in 2010 to feed our homeless children on weekends, a time when these children often go hungry.

Today, F.E.L.T. is the only backpack program in Manatee County that provides proper fresh nutritious food to over 800 children weekly.

We welcome everyone that has a desire to make a difference in humankind. Members and partners include community leaders, business networks, associations, communicators, story tellers, advisors and volunteers.

Join F.E.L.T. as a partner, sponsor, donor, or volunteer to help bring awareness and social good to our community.

Volunteer Testimonial

Why I chose F.E.L.T.

  • When I heard about Feeding Empty Little Tummies and how they send food home on the weekends to homeless children in Manatee County, I was eager to volunteer. The board members and volunteers I work with are devoted, selfless people with the biggest hearts. Every Friday, rain or shine, the volunteers of F.E.L.T arrive with a smile on their faces and determination in their hearts, ready to pack backpacks. I am so grateful and humbled to be a part of such an impactful organization.
